The Institute of Management Studies Roorkee, also known as IMS, is situated in the WRFH+G79, Haridwar, Uttarakhand 247667. IMS was founded in 1990 and is part of one of the oldest Conglomerates. IMS has been considered one of the top B-schools in the country for a long time and ranks 55 in India.

PGDM at the Institute of Management Studies

It is for 2 years and is well known throughout the country. Institute of Management Studies Roorkee candidates from foreign universities come to this institute as an exchange students for one year for this course. Subsequently, students from the visit other foreign universities for one year. 

PGDM course has a good scope as many of the top MNCs, both national and international, come here for the campus placements as the students have operational knowledge about the industry and not just the managerial aspect. 

There are six specializations: Finance & Banking Management, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Operations & Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, and International Business (IB)under the PGDM course, and candidates can choose anyone.

PhD at the Institute of Management Studies

PhD at the Institute of Management Studies Roorkee for 3 to 5 years. In the last degree, anyone can do a Doctor of philosophy in that particular stream or subject. Most of the syllabus deals with research and thesis and requires students to develop new methods and techniques in the chosen subjects. The faculty for PhD is quite experienced, with everyone having more than two decades of experience and good industry experience. This helps them connect with the students better by providing them with insights into the companies.

Melange is the name of the cultural festival celebrated at the Institute of Management Studies Roorkee, and there are no academic studies during this period. Both students and teachers come together to celebrate this festival.

This year our annual festival includes various activities and events in Strategies, Ad-Mad show, Equity Trading Game, International Investment Game, Fashion Show, Music, Dance, Photography, Collage making, and many others.
